Top 10 Contributors

Top 10 Contributors ranks the CN codes, countries of origin, suppliers or articles that contribute most to your imports, costs or emissions in the selected period. It answers the question every CBAM team asks first: where should we collect actual data to make the biggest difference?

What the card shows

• A donut chart of the ten largest contributors for the selected period, with the share of each contributor on the chart and a legend below listing every contributor.
• The total for the selected metric at the top right of the card (for example 12162.03 t for Import Volume).
• Two selectors above the chart, read as "metric by grouping":
  • Metric: Import Volume, CBAM Costs or Embedded Emissions.
  • Grouping: CN Code, Country Of Origin, Supplier or Article.

The selectors only change how the data is presented. The imports behind the chart always come from the filter bar, so the card follows the time filter, the import filters, the Emission Data filter and the CBAM Price like every other card. To focus on a single company, use the Company filter in the filter bar.

How to use it

1. Set the Emission Data filter to Default, choose Embedded Emissions by Supplier and note the top suppliers: these are the suppliers where actual data would replace the highest default values.
2. Invite or remind those suppliers to provide emission data (see Get Emission Data from Suppliers).
3. Switch to Actual & Default once data arrives and watch the ranking change as default values are replaced.

Tips

• Group by Supplier when planning outreach, by Country Of Origin when assessing sourcing alternatives, by CN Code to see which goods drive your exposure, and by Article when procurement wants to know which products drive costs.
• Switch the metric to CBAM Costs to see the same ranking in euros at the selected certificate price.
• Combine the Company filter with the CBAM Readiness table to work company by company.
