CBAM-Relevant Import Volume

The CBAM-relevant Import Volume card shows how many tonnes of CBAM goods you imported in the selected period, by company and over time. It is the volume figure behind your certificates, so it is worth understanding exactly what it counts.

What the card shows

• The total import volume in tonnes by company over the selected period. Each company is one series in the chart; the legend below lists the companies shown.
• The total for the period at the top right, shown to two decimal places (for example 12162.03 t).
• A chart type selector to switch between a Bar Chart and a Line Chart.
• The time axis follows the selected period: a quarter is broken down by month.

What counts as CBAM-relevant

• Imports whose CN code falls under the CBAM regulation and that match the current filter bar (period, import type, CN code, company, country of origin, supplier and article).
• Returned Goods imports with CBAM CN codes are included in the volume when the Returned Goods import type is selected, so your physical import picture is complete. Deselect Returned Goods in the Import Type filter if you want to see the volume without them.
• Imports with CN codes outside the CBAM scope are not counted.

The evaluation of which CN codes are CBAM-relevant is the same as in the Imports overview and the CBAM compliance export, so the Dashboard, the imports table and your exports always agree.

Tips

• A volume spike without a matching change in Embedded Emissions usually means Returned Goods or imports already covered by actual data; use the Import Type filter to check.
• If the volume looks wrong, check the CN codes and customs procedures of the imports in question on the Imports page; the Dashboard reflects the import records exactly.
