Dashboard

The Dashboard is your central control room in kolum. It gives an at-a-glance view of your CBAM readiness per company, the biggest contributors to your imports and emissions, your predicted CBAM costs, your CBAM-relevant import volume and your embedded emissions, so your team can plan data collection and reporting throughout the reporting cycle. You reach it from the top of the CBAM sidebar, directly below the module selector and above Emission Data and Reporting.

The cards appear on the Dashboard in the order listed above, with the CBAM Cost Forecast below the other cards where it is active for your client. The overview below summarises each section; open the section page for how the figures are calculated, what is excluded and how to use the section day to day.

Filters

The Dashboard is driven by the filter bar at the top of the page. Adjusting a filter recalculates every card below it, so you always look at one consistent period and one consistent data basis.

  • Time filter: choose a quarter or a full year. The Dashboard opens on the most recent quarter.
  • Import Type, CN Code, Company, Country of Origin, Supplier, Article: multi-select filters built from your import data. Each chip shows how many values are selected; all values are selected by default.
  • Emission Data: Actual & Default uses the actual data your suppliers have provided where it exists and EU default values everywhere else; Default calculates everything from EU default values. The Dashboard opens with Default selected, so everyone starts from the same baseline.
  • CBAM Price: CBAM Price uses the published CBAM certificate price (shown on the chip, for example €75.28); Custom Price lets you enter your own price per certificate. Every cost figure on the Dashboard follows the selected price.

When you apply a filter, an overlay and loading indicator appear over the cards while the visualisations refresh, so it is clear when numbers are still updating.

CBAM Readiness

The CBAM Readiness block shows your readiness per company in a collapsible table. It is collapsed by default, with a one-line summary for the selected year: how many companies you have and how many of them are affected by CBAM, the total CBAM-relevant import volume in tonnes, and the total number of required CBAM certificates.

Expand the block to see one row per company with four columns:

  • Company
  • Import Threshold: the company's CBAM-relevant import volume shown as progress towards the 50 t threshold, for example 4,010 / 50 t.
  • Gathered Actual Emission Data: the share of the company's imports covered by actual supplier emission data.
  • Required CBAM Certificates: the number of certificates the company needs for the year. Companies below the 50 t threshold show 0 certificates.

A total row at the bottom sums the volume and the certificates across all companies and shows the volume-weighted share of actual emission data.

The CBAM Readiness block has its own year selector, which defaults to the current calendar year and works independently of the time filter in the filter bar. It follows the Emission Data filter in the filter bar, so switching between Actual & Default and Default changes the certificate figures here as well.

Top 10 Contributors

The Top 10 Contributors card ranks the largest contributors for the selected period as a donut chart with a legend, with the total for the chosen metric shown at the top right of the card. Two selectors on the card control the view: the metric (Import Volume, CBAM Costs or Embedded Emissions) and the grouping (CN Code, Country of Origin, Supplier or Article). Use it to decide where to collect actual data first. To focus on a single company, use the Company filter in the filter bar.

CBAM Costs

The CBAM Costs card shows your predicted carbon costs for the selected period as total costs by company over time. The total is shown at the top right together with the certificate price it is based on (for example "Total @ €75.28/CBAM-Certificate"), so the basis of the figure is always clear. Switch between a bar chart and a line chart with the selector on the card.

CBAM-Relevant Import Volume

The CBAM-relevant Import Volume card shows the total import volume in tonnes by company over the selected period, with the total at the top right. It follows the same time buckets as the CBAM Costs card and can be shown as a bar or line chart.

Embedded Emissions

The Embedded Emissions card shows the total embedded emissions in tCO₂e by company over the selected period, with the total at the top right. Like the other charts it follows the Emission Data filter and can be shown as a bar or line chart.

CBAM Cost Forecast

A CBAM Cost Forecast card projects your CBAM cost exposure from 2026 through 2034, across the regulatory free-allocation phase-in and a range of certificate price scenarios. It is on by default for CBAM clients and can still be switched off per client, and it is visible to the Client Admin and Client Auditor roles.

  • The card states the baseline it starts from above the chart, for example "2026 baseline: 9,790,287.22 t import volume, based on your selected period Apr – Jun 2026", so you can see which period the projection is built on and use the time filter to move the starting point.
  • Four curves are plotted with one point per year: Conservative (EUA flat €70, no scope expansion), Central (EUA €75→€140, scope expansion 2028), Aggressive (EUA €80→€200, scope expansion, full markups) and Custom, which follows your own settings.
  • Annual import volume growth at the top right of the card sets whether the projection keeps your import volume flat or grows it by a percentage each year. This applies to the whole forecast.
  • The Custom scenario row sets that curve's start price and its annual price increase (0%, 5%, 10%, 15% or your own value). A CN Code 2028 expansion switch adds the CN codes from the December 2025 Commission proposal and is set to No by default.
  • The baseline honours your reported Specific Embedded Free Allocation (SEFA) and respects the Emission Data filter, so the scenarios stay consistent with the CBAM Costs and CBAM Readiness figures elsewhere on the Dashboard. The scenario prices are independent of the CBAM Price selector.

Use the Cost Forecast alongside CBAM Costs to compare your near-term predicted costs with the multi-year trend.

Before Your First Imports

If you have not uploaded any imports yet, the Dashboard shows a dedicated empty state instead of the usual cards and charts: a short explanation that the Dashboard visualises data based on your imports, and a Go to Import Section button that takes you straight to the Imports page to upload them. The filter bar remains visible but is disabled until data exists.

This only applies while no imports exist at all. Once imports are uploaded, the Dashboard always renders its normal content. If your selected filters simply return no results, the layout stays the same and the cards show zero values.

Tips

  • Start on the Dashboard at the beginning of each reporting cycle to see where actual data is missing and plan collection.
  • Compare Default and Actual & Default using the Emission Data filter to quantify the value of collecting supplier data.
  • Use Custom Price to see how your predicted costs change at a different certificate price without touching the rest of the Dashboard.
  • Use the CBAM Readiness year selector to check a year's exposure without changing the rest of the Dashboard.

What's new

The CBAM Cost Forecast now builds its baseline on the free allocation you have reported and follows the Dashboard's Emission Data filter, so the projected scenarios line up with the CBAM Costs and CBAM Readiness figures on the same page.
