Add a DDS manually
Overview
Most statements are created from the risk assessment workflow, but you can also record one by hand with Add DDS manually. Use this when a statement exists outside the normal in-app flow and you need it represented in kolum.
🟢 Why this matters. Keeping every statement in one place, including those created elsewhere, gives you a complete and auditable record of your due diligence. See the consolidated EUDR text.
Before you start
- Have the statement's details: reference, covered article, supplier, volume, and validity.
Step by step
- Go to Due Diligence Statements and select Add DDS manually.
- Enter the statement's details.
- Save. It appears in the Due Diligence Statements list.
When to use this
- Recording a statement produced outside kolum.
- Capturing a historic statement so your records are complete. For statements received from an upstream operator, use Upload Upstream Operator Docs instead (see Received DDS and upstream operator documents).
Tips
- Enter the correct validity and volume, so the statement's limits are tracked like any other.
Troubleshooting
- The statement is missing links to orders or imports. A manually added statement is only as connected as the details you enter. Add the relevant references where the form allows.
ℹ️ Regulatory context. However a statement is recorded, it must reflect genuine, completed due diligence for the goods it covers. See the consolidated EUDR text.
