Edit Production Facility
Overview
You can edit a production facility at any time to update its name, details, or address, or to correct mistakes made during setup. Keeping facility information current ensures your master data reflects where your organisation actually produces and packs goods.
Editing happens directly on the facility's detail page. There is no separate edit screen: each block of the page has its own edit affordance, and you save changes block by block.
Step by step
- Go to Companies in the sidebar and open the company the facility belongs to.
- Switch to the Associations tab and click the facility in the Production Facilities block to open its detail page.
- Update what you need, in place:
- Name. Click the facility name in the page header to edit it inline, then confirm.
- Details block. Use the block's edit affordance to change the facility details (the linked company is the one you opened it from).
- Address block. Use the block's edit affordance to select Use company address, or complete the manual address with street name and number, postal code and city (mandatory), country (mandatory, two-letter code), and optionally PO Box, UN/LOCODE, latitude, and longitude.
- Save each block you changed. The page updates immediately; you stay on the facility detail page.
Important to note
- Only roles permitted to edit master data see the edit affordances. If a block has none, ask your Client Admin.
- When Use company address is selected, the address fields lock and follow the company's address. Clear the checkbox to enter a facility-specific address.
- Because PPWR obligations sit with the legal entity, a change to where production happens is exactly the kind of change that should prompt a fresh look at the company's applicability answers.
After you edit
Your changes reflect immediately on the facility detail page, in the company's Associations tab and across the modules that share this master data.
ℹ️ Regulatory context. Which entity manufactures where feeds the manufacturer role under PPWR (Article 3, Chapter IV). Facility edits keep that picture true. See Regulation (EU) 2025/40.
