Delete a Company
Overview
You can delete companies in kolum to keep your workspace organised and free of unused or test entries. Deleting companies helps maintain clean records, but treat it carefully: companies are shared master data, and a deleted entity disappears for every module that used it.
Step by step
Delete a single company
- Click the company you want to delete in your Companies list.
- Click Edit in the top right.
- Click the red Delete company button on the left.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted. The company is permanently removed from your workspace.
Bulk delete companies
- In your Companies list, select the checkboxes next to the companies you want to delete.
- Click the Delete button in the top right.
- Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog.
Important: linked records block deletion
If a company is still connected to other records, such as suppliers or facilities, it cannot be deleted until those connections are removed. Edit the company, remove the connections, save, and then delete. This protects the consistency of your workspace.
What happens when you delete a company
- The company is removed from your workspace, for all modules that share master data.
- Its applicability results and obligation views in the PPWR module are removed with it.
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
When to delete a company
- The entity is no longer part of your organisation.
- The record was added by mistake or used for testing.
- You are cleaning up your workspace for organised records.
ℹ️ Regulatory context. Deleting a record in kolum does not end a legal entity's real-world obligations: an entity that placed packaging on the market keeps its registration, EPR, and documentation duties under the regulation. Delete records, not evidence. See Regulation (EU) 2025/40.
