Overview
The Customs Officer works with imports and customs-related records. Under PPWR, this role matters because importing packaged goods into the EU is one of the activities that gives a company the importer role, with its own set of obligations.
What a Customs Officer can do
- Maintain import records and customs-related data.
- View the companies and packaging items connected to those imports.
- Provide the import facts that feed applicability answers.
What a Customs Officer cannot do
- Manage users and roles.
- Change company master data or generate Declarations of Conformity.

Customs and trade compliance staff who already handle import documentation for your organisation.
