Edit an Import

Sometimes you need to adjust import details after entry, whether it's correcting a quantity, updating a date, or fixing a supplier. kolum makes it easy to keep your import data accurate to ensure your emissions reporting and CBAM compliance remain reliable.

How to Open the Edit View

  1. Navigate to Imports in the sidebar.
  2. Find the import you want to adjust in the table. The Identifier column helps you recognise the import you are looking for.
  3. Click the row to open the import's detail page, which shows the Identifier along with the other import data.
  4. In the top right corner, click Edit to enter editing mode. This will open the editable import interface, allowing you to adjust key information.

What You Can Update

In the Edit Import view, you can adjust:

  • Identifier: Change the import's unique key if your own reference has changed, for example to replace a generated kolum-ImportID-n with the reference from your own system. The new value must not already be used by another import in your account. Because the Identifier is what bulk uploads and the Imports API use to find this import, update your own files after changing it.
  • Quantity, Measurement Unit and Date: If the amount, its unit (kg or t for goods, MWh for electricity), or the date of import was entered incorrectly, update it here. A quantity you enter in kg is stored in tonnes.
  • Supplier and Importing Company: Change these if they were misselected or have changed. The importing company's country determines the Customs Value Currency shown read-only next to the customs value.
  • Country of Origin: Update to reflect the accurate origin for customs and emissions tracking.
  • Customs Details: Adjust the customs value (required for companies registered for UK CBAM), applied customs procedure codes, internal references, and ATC numbers.
  • Linked Data: You can link or update the relevant production facility, CN Code (commodity code), and article for precise emissions tracking. If your import uses inward processing, you can also adjust related details like previous customs procedure, authorisation, and relevant dates.

Saving or Discarding Changes

Once you have finished editing:

  • Click Save Import (top right) to confirm your updates.
  • If you change your mind, click Discard to leave the import unchanged. Your updated data will immediately reflect in your imports table and will be used in your CBAM reports and carbon cost analysis.

What's new

You can now change an import's Identifier from the edit view, edit its Quantity together with the Measurement Unit, and see the Customs Value Currency that kolum derives from the importing company's country.
