Edit Production Facility

You can edit a production facility at any time if you need to update its name, address details, or correct mistakes made during initial setup. Keeping facility information up to date in kolum ensures your reporting, emissions calculations, and linked data remain accurate.

How to Edit a Production Facility

  1. Go to Master Data > Companies, open the company the facility belongs to, and switch to its Associations tab.
  2. In the Production Facilities block, click the facility you wish to edit to open its detail page.
  3. Edit the facility in place. The detail page is organised into blocks, each with its own Edit action:
    • Name: hover next to the name in the page header and click the pencil icon to rename the facility inline, then Save or Cancel.
    • Details: the facility's identifier and other core data.
    • Address Details:
 - If the facility uses the company address, the address fields are locked and follow the company; untick Use company address to enter a separate address.
 - If using a separate facility address, ensure:
   - Street name and number
   - Postal code and city (mandatory)
   - Country (mandatory, use the two-letter country code, e.g., DE, FR, IT).
   - Optional: Post office box, UN/LOCODE, latitude, longitude.

4. Review your changes in the block, make sure all mandatory fields are filled correctly, and click Save in the block header. Only one block is in edit mode at a time.

Important to Note

  • A facility stays with the company it was created for; to move production to another company, create the facility on that company and delete it here.
  • If you need to drop a facility's own address and use the company address instead, tick Use company address in the Address block and save.

After Editing

Once saved, your changes are reflected immediately on the company's Associations tab and everywhere the facility is used. This ensures all linked processes, articles, and emissions workflows use the updated information for ongoing tasks in kolum.

What's new

Production facilities are edited in place on their detail page, reached from the company's Associations tab, block by block. The separate edit page is gone.
