Add a production location

Overview

This page covers adding a single production location, the plot of land where your goods were produced. You add it once here, then reuse it whenever a buyer asks for it.

🟢 Why this matters. The EUDR requires the exact geolocation of every plot where the commodity was produced (Article 9(1)(d)). An accurate plot is what lets your buyer prove the goods are deforestation-free. See the consolidated EUDR text.

Before you start

• Know where the goods were produced, precisely enough to mark on a map or as coordinates.

Step by step

1. Go to Production Locations and select Add New Location.
2. Give the location a name.
3. Provide the geolocation, one of two ways:
   • Draw on the map: click the boundary points of the plot, then close the outline.
   • Enter coordinates: enter the coordinate pairs of the boundary in decimal degrees (WGS84). A plot outline needs at least three points.
4. Save. The location's area and number of points are recorded.

Tips

• Draw the full boundary for larger plots rather than a single point; it stands up better to your buyer's deforestation check.
• Name plots clearly (for example by farm and block) so they are easy to pick when answering a request.

Troubleshooting

• My coordinates were rejected. Use decimal degrees, latitude between -90 and 90 and longitude between -180 and 180, with at least three points.
